LOAN WATCH: Stoke's Tonge keen to make Leeds United return

Michael Tonge admits he would like to return to Leeds United after his current loan spell runs out.

The 29-year old is due back at Stoke City after he plays for the Whites against Middlesbrough in the Championship this weekend but after finding game time at the Britannia Stadium hard to come by, is keen to settle at Elland Road.

"I'd love to stay on beyond this loan spell," said Tonge who has made a total of 21 appearances for Leeds, scoring five goals.

"Tony Pulis has been great with me and always helps me to find new places to play on loan but sooner or later I'd like to settle down.

"Not knowing how long you'll be with a club isn't easy and I don't really like being in no-man's land.

"My ideal scenario would be to stay at Leeds for the rest of the season."
