Manchester United loanee Nick Powell scored Wigan Athletic's second goal in the Latics' 2-1 defeat of Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
Chris McCann got Wigan off to a flying start when he scored after 10 minutes and the lead was extended a mere two minutes later when Powell found the back of the net in his 14th league start for the season.
After a mistake by Reading defender Alex Pearce, the 19-year old collected the loose ball and drove home past Royals goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
It was Powell's seventh goal in all competitions since joining Wigan on loan in September. The win was new manager Uwe Rosler's second since replacing Owen Coyle earlier this month.
