LOAN WATCH: Liverpool loanee Kent scores in Rangers derby loss

In an expectedly fiery Old firm derby, Rangers winger Ryan Kent (on loan from liverpool) scored in the sides 2-1 loss at Celtic Park.

Steven Gerrard's side, down to ten men after Alfredo Morales saw red for his stray elbow, fought valiantly in the colossal derby but ultimately fell short.

In the 63rd minute, the pacey 22-year-old winger received the ball from James Tavernier outside the box and blitzed past the two remaining defenders with pace and close ball control. He then slotted the ball past the keeper into the bottom left corner tying the scores up at 1-1.

Kent was also involved in and ugly incident when he pushed over the antagonising Scott Brown off the ball, but the moment was left unpunished in the heated contest.

It was Kent's 6th goal of the season for rangers where he has been a very crucial cog in their system, using his superb talent on the left wing.

Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, manager Steven Gerrard spoke praisingly of Kent's performance. “Ryan Kent was magnificent in the game, best player on the pitch in my opinion, (I) thought he was outstanding. It's a shame that we couldn't take nothing from the game, because I think Ryan's performance deserved that (win). I'm delighted with Ryan Kent".

Rangers bounced back this morning from the defeat with an emphatic 3-0 win over Hearts, where Kent again played an impressive 90 minute spell up-front next to Jermain Defoe.
