LOAN WATCH: Fulham's Tunnicliffe targets promotion with Wigan

Ryan Tunnicliffe is hoping to make a positive impact during his loan spell with Wigan Athletic.

The 21-year old midfielder, who only joined Fulham from Manchester United last month, will spend the remainder of the Championship season on loan with the Latics.

Upon his arrival at the DW Stadium, Tunnicliffe spoke of his desire to assist the seventh-placed club push up into the playoffs in order to give themselves every chance of gaining promotion back to the Premier League.

"I'm delighted to be here, being a north-west lad it's a great move for me," Tunnicliffe told the Wigan Evening Post.

"I can't wait to get involved in the promotion push and help in any way I can.

"I'm obviously coming into a side that is in great form.

"If they can win their game in hand they can get into the playoffs.

"The general feeling around the club is they need to push into the playoffs, and hopefully I can help them do that."

Tunnicliffe will get the chance to make his Latics debut when Uwe Rosler's side travel to fifth-placed Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
