LOAN WATCH: Fulham keeper Stockdale loving regular minutes with Hull

David Stockdale admits he is relieved to be finally playing regular minutes whilst on loan with Hull City.

The 27-year old Fulham goalkeeper joined the Tigers in November and will remain at the KC Stadium until the start of January.

Since arriving at Hull, Stockdale has made five appearances for Steve Bruce's side, including two clean sheets, and he is thrilled just to be getting a chance.

"It's just a relief, to be honest, to be playing again. I'll try and play well and keep it going up to that Blackpool game (on January 1)," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"It's one of the worst positions. You don't come into football just to pick up money - I didn't anyway. It's not about money for me. It's about playing.

"I was knocking on (Fulham boss) Martin Jol's door every other week, not because Mark Schwarzer was playing badly, just because I want to play football. There's only so much you can do and he agreed to let me come out here."
