Johan Djourou is set to spend some time on the sidelines after sustaining a groin injury playing for Hamburg.
The Swiss defender, on a season-long loan from Arsenal, picked up the injury in the weekend's 3-0 win at Freiburg and will now undergo rehabilitation in a bid to be back as soon as possible.
Hamburg posted the following on their Twitter page:
Diagnose bei @JohanDjourou ist da: Der IV fällt mit einem Muskelfaserriss im Adduktorenbereich mehrere Wochen aus. #HSV — Hamburger SV (@HSV) October 28, 2013
Translation: Diagnosis at @ JohanDjourou is there: The IV coincides with a torn muscle in his groin area for several weeks
Since joining Hamburg on loan on the summer, Djourou has made seven Bundesliga appearances for the 12th placed Die Rothosen.
