Chuks Aneke was on hand to steer Crewe Alexandra through to the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.
The on-loan Arsenal midfielder scored the only goal of the match as trophy holders Crewe edged Accrington Stanley 1-0 at the Alexandra Stadium.
20-year old Aneke, who had a successful loan with the Alex last season, rose above his marker to head home Matt Tootle's cross with just over ten minutes remaining to send Crewe into the next round.
Aneke has made five appearances in League One this season, including four starts, and the goal was his second of the campaign after tallying in the 3-2 Capital One Cup defeat to Bury.
