Sullay Kaikai continued his sparkling recent form for Shrewsbury Town in their dazzling come-from-behind win over Colchester United on the weekend.
The 20-year-old Crystal Palace winger scored a late brace for the Shrews as they cam from two goals to get the better of the U's 4-2 at Greenhous Meadow.
An own-goal from Mark Ellis on 36 minutes and a back-heel from Tom Eastman three minutes later had Colchester riding high but the half-time introductions of Tyrone Barnett and Kaikai by manager Micky Mellon lead to a stunning fightback from the Salop.
The home side made headway in the first minute of the second half when Barnett headed home a left-wing cross from Larnell Cole before equalising with a composed finish after controlling Ian Black's lofted ball with his chest just before the hour-mark.
Enter Kaikai, who in the 72nd minute fired Shrewsbury ahead when racing onto a through ball from Cole and slotting beyond Jamie Jones before wrapping it up with nine minutes left when latching onto a ball from captain Liam Lawrence and lashing across Jones from a tight angle.
The goals were Kaikai's first of the season in his fifth league appearances for the Shropshire club who currently sit 14th on the League One table
