Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris believes that Antonio Conte can help the players show their best form.
Spurs have now seen two managers leave in the space of a few months in the form of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo.
The London club have now appointed Italian manager Conte, who was their primary target to replace Mourinho in the summer.
"He's the kind of manager who will help all the players to improve. His CV speaks for itself," Lloris told reporters during a Europa Conference League pre-match press conference, as Spurs prepare to take on Vitesse at home.
"It's never easy to see a manager leaving the changing room and we have to show our respect to Nuno and welcome Antonio and his staff in the best way.
"It's time to believe again in ourselves and the club and step-by-step we will try to improve and reach the right level.
"There's a lot of ambition for Tottenham. But the players need to show responsibility and commitment. Now it's all about finding the right connection together.
"We have a lot of respect for Nuno but now we are focussing on new ideas of football and we want energy from everyone at the club. We want to go together in the right direction and follow the lead of the new manager.
"Unfortunately, it didn't work like we wanted. Now it's a new era and a new chapter."
