Liverpool's Anfield expansion plans have been hit by delays.
The Mail on Sunday says Liverpool face a two-year delay in their bid to expand Anfield after it emerged the city council are preparing for legal action against the owners of the four remaining houses that have frustrated the club's plans.
The council continue to negotiate with the homeowners and are cautiously optimistic that deals can still be struck, but they also accept that legal action may be necessary.
Should the cases go to court, the club would suffer serious delays before expansion work could begin on the famous stadium.
