Liverpool youngster Spearing inspires Bolton

Liverpool loanee Jay Spearing says a rejuvenated Bolton Wanderers head to Wolves tonight after their spirited fightback earned three points against Bristol City.

Spearing netted his first Bolton goal in the 3-2 home triumph after coming from 2-0 down to win the game and the victory has reunited the Wanderers squad.

"It's not just myself, but the whole dressing room is bouncing at the minute," said Spearing.

"It wasn't just the result, we just felt that a little bit of luck might have turned our way.

"We just haven't been getting that in the last few games and we came out of the Bristol game with what we deserved.

"We've been under-performing, and we've been getting on each other's backs about it.

"We said to each other 'Listen boys, we need to look after each other and support each other' and I think it showed against Bristol City because we helped each other out."

The 23-year-old added: "The lads have nailed down and got ourselves going again. Hopefully this is just the start."
