Liverpool are yet to consider handing Adam Lallana a new deal even after his timely strike against Manchester United.
Sunday saw experienced playmaker Lallana pop up to net his first Reds goal since the end of the 2016/17 season.
Injuries have plagued the former Southampton man since then.
But he still has a part to play in Jurgen Klopp's team this season, having fought his way back into contention.
Lallana joined Liverpool for £25m back in 2014, and his current contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign, says the Daily Star.
That would bring an end to his seven-year spell on Merseyside.
