Lazar Markovic could be on his way to Sporting Lisbon from Liverpool.

The Serbian winger has been unable to force his way into the Reds first team since arriving in the summer of 2014 and is now set to be offloaded.

It is understood that the 22-year-old is of interest to Sporting and could make the move to Lisbon on a one-season loan.

Markovic previously played with Benfica and is on the verge of a return to Portugal.
