Ryan Kent's representatives still expect a loan move despite Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ruling out the option.

Klopp said earlier this week that Kent would only be sold on a permanent basis.

The news came as a significant blow to Rangers, who were hoping to sign Kent on loan for a second straight season.

But Steven Gerrard's chances of bringing the 22-year-old back to Ibrox remain alive, according to the Daily Record.

Kent's representatives believes nobody will stump up the cash to sign Kent, which will force Liverpool into making another loan deal.

Leeds United are also interested in the signing the Reds academy graduate.
