Liverpool have opened in talks with Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
Il Corriere dello Sport says Liverpool have made contact with representatives of Amrabat and could offer to double his salary.
The Reds are one of several sides to have been linked with Amrabat, following the midfielder's impressive displays at the World Cup with Morocco. The North African side topped a group containing Croatia and Belgium and will face Spain in the round-of-16 tomorrow.
The report states that, while others are also interested, it is Liverpool who have made the first move in contracting those around Amrabat.
Jurgen Klopp's side are said to be readying a salary offer of around £3million - almost double the €1.8million (£1.55million) he is currently on at Fiorentina.
