Liverpool are watching Sporting Lisbon fullback Marcos Rojo. Reds scouts have been regular attendees at Sporting games in recent months.
A Bola says the 23-year-old defender is a top summer target for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
However, any move for Rojo will be complicated by the fact that 75 per cent of his contract in the Portuguese capital is owned by a third-party - Investment company Doyen Sports.
