Liverpool veteran James Milner has likened manager Jurgen Klopp to Manchester United icon Sir Alex Ferguson.

Whilst Klopp has a long way to go before he replicates the type of success Ferguson enjoyed at bitter rivals United, there are already similarities between the two and comparisons aplenty.

Milner was the latest to provide a comparison when he opened up on Klopp's demeanour in the build-up to games.

"He loves the press conferences as well; I think he's the same as some older managers, like Sir Alex, as he thinks the battle starts there," Milner told talkSPORT.

"He gives 100 percent every single day and has been fantastic for the club since he's been here."
