Liverpool veteran Milner can see Spurs beating Man City

Liverpool veteran James Milner can see Tottenham beating Manchester City this weekend.

Crashing out of the Champions League does offer City — two points adrift but with a game in hand – the small compensation of a less congested fixture list.

But Milner says: “It is disappointing for them and they will now push hard for the remaining games of the season. They will go again.

“But Spurs will have their backs up and want to go again after getting such a great result to get through. They are two top teams and it will be an exciting game for the neutral.

“We will keep one eye on it, but all we can do is influence our games."

Liverpool are away to third-bottom Cardiff on Sunday, with City playing their game in hand, a Manchester derby against United at Old Trafford, in midweek.
