Liverpool are not likely to permit winger Mohamed Salah to play at the Olympics for Egypt.
ESPN reports that Salah does want to represent his country in Tokyo next month.
However, his club would have to okay his inclusion, as he would miss a significant chunk of their pre-season preparations.
If Egypt go deep in the tournament at the Olympics, Salah would be away until the week before Liverpool's first Premier League game of the coming season.
While the Reds have no formal policy about the Olympics for their senior players, they are not expected to let Salah play.
