Liverpool U18 coach Barry Lewtas has welcomed new signing Ki-Jana Hoever.

The former Ajax fullback's transfer paperwork was completed last week.

"It's great for him. He is a good boy. They are young boys who just want to play football," Lewtas told the Liverpool Echo.

"Ki has many positive characteristics. But I do not want to praise him too much. Ajax is a big club and he comes here with a great reputation.

"After all, he is an international. But I do not want to put too much pressure on him. He is just starting his adventure here, he will need time to get used to."
