Espanyol defender Leandro Cabrera is being linked with Liverpool.

The Liverpool Echo says the Uruguay international is under consideration as a potential replacement for wantaway defender Dejan Lovren.

The 28-year-old Uruguayan arrived at Espanyol mid-season for €9m, which was his buyout clause at Getafe, and his current clause is set at €15m.

He has a contract until June 30, 2024.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is being offered several targets by management to replace Lovren.

Along with Cabrera, another LaLiga player under consideration is Real Betis stopper Zou Feddal, 30.
