Liverpool are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund defender Marcel Schmelzer.
The left-sided defender is on Reds boss Brendan Rodgers' shortlist of options as he seeks a new left-back signing this summer.
Schmelzer's deal runs to 2017 and does not carry a buyout clause.
German sources expect Liverpool to test BVB's resolve over Schmelzer in the coming months.
