Liverpool to use Luis Alberto in talks for Lazio ace Joaquin Correa

Liverpool are eyeing Lazio midfielder Joaquin Correa.

Indeed, Il Messaggero says Liverpool have already approached Lazio about Correa's availability ahead of the summer market.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has been following Correa for the past three years.

Interestingly, former Liverpool reserves striker Luis Alberto could come into the reckoning, with the Spaniard attracting interest from abroad.

Liverpool have a 30 per cent sell-on clause as part of Alberto's deal and could waive the option if Lazio show a willingness to negotiate terms over Correa.

The Argentine midfielder's buyout clause is set at €80m - deemed too steep by Liverpool management.

A fee in the region of €60m has been mentioned as a compromise.
