Liverpool will target two more centre-half signings this summer, it has been revealed.
The Sunday World says after a season that has been destroyed by injuries to key defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, Anfield chiefs have vowed to ensure manager Jurgen Klopp's side will not be left exposed once again.
So they have set their sights on signing an experienced defender who is viewed as a replacement for injury-prone Matip, as well as a youthful performer who can be developed by the club's coaching staff.
The second of those players could be Ozan Kabak, who has impressed Klopp since he arrived on loan at Liverpool from Schalke in January.
The identity of the more experienced central defender who will be targeted by Liverpool remains under discussion, but Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly continues to be linked with a move to Anfield.
