Jurgen Klopp suggests his Liverpool side will be confident leading into this weekend's Capital One Cup final.

The Reds defeated Augsburg 1-0 in the Europa League Round of 32 second leg at Anfield on Thursday night and will now prepare for Sunday's League Cup decider against Manchester City at Wembley.

Regarding the build-up to the cup final, Klopp said: "It's better than if we'd had a defeat and been knocked out.

"Tonight's game is different and not relevant to Sunday, but obviously the team has benefited from a good performance and gained confidence, although you could say the same for Manchester City in Kiev last night.

"We'll try our hardest to produce a good performance on Sunday."
