Liverpool to go after wantaway Dortmund defender Subotic

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could raid his former club Borussia Dortmund this winter.

According to Bild, Klopp has been alerted to the fact that defender Neven Subotic is looking to leave the Westfalenstadion in January.

The 26-year-old Serbian has featured just twice under Thomas Tuchel this season and is reportedly ready to move on and become first choice under his old mentor Klopp at Anfield.

Recently, German football expert Ralph Honigstein told BT Sport that Subotic would love to reunite with Klopp in England after starring for him at both Mainz and Dortmund.

"There is probably a deal to be made with Subotic, who has been out of favour," he said.

"He is one of the few players who was personally picked by Klopp for Dortmund when he was at Mainz."
