Liverpool are reportedly closing a deal for Colombian youngster Anderson Arroyo.
The 18-year-old, who plays in his second-tier homeland for Fortaleza FC, has also been featuring for Spanish side Mallorca on trial.
World Football Index reports Arroyo has impressed Liverpool during a trial period due to his defensive capabilities, as well as his searing pace.
The Colombia Under-20s international would not be eligible for a work permit, with the report suggesting if Liverpool sign him, he'll remain with Mallorca – in Spain's second tier – on loan in order to qualify.
At the age of 16, the pacy fullback had moved to Liverpool on trial during their 2016 tour of Germany, alongside Ecuadorian central defender Mauricio 'Josue' Quiñónez, who is currently playing for Independiente del Valle's U18 team.
Arroyo impressed, and Liverpool have been tracking his progress in Colombia, where he plays regularly for second-tier side Fortaleza.
