Liverpool to challenge Atletico, Bayern for Monaco winger Lemar

Premier League side Liverpool will have to battle it out with two of Europe's bigger clubs to secure the services of Thomas Lemar, according to reports from L'Equipe.

Lemar has emerged as one of the finest young midfielders in Europe since joining Monaco from Caen last summer and as a result, a number of top clubs have expressed their interest in signing the 20-year-old.

Recently, it was revealed that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich were keen on signing Lemar and now according to French newspaper L'Equipe, Liverpool will have their work cut out for them in the pursuit for the youngster.

Additionally, the Daily Express is suggesting that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been given the backing of the board to go after some key targets in the summer transfer window and could offer the money required to pry Lemar away from Monaco under the noses of Champions League finalists Atletico and German champs Bayern.
