Liverpool are joining the race to sign Lyon star Houssem Aouar.

The attacking midfielder is a much wanted man this summer, with Manchester City said to be on his tail.

But now L'Equipe claims that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are also coming into the equation.

Aouar is not going to be in the Champions League with Lyon next season, as they are outside the top spots in Ligue 1, which is cancelled for the rest of the season.

It means the 21-year-old could be ready to move, especially if Jean Michel Aulas has to sell to balance the books.

The Reds could be an even more enticing prospect for Aouar with their end to end style of play.
