Liverpool have told Emiliano Insua to find a new club.

The Mirror says Insua is surplus to requirements and a move to Fiorentina fell through last month while the club have re-signed Fabio Aurelio.

But that has not ended Liverpool's interest in buying a new left-back in the remaining weeks of the market.

Genoa have also seen a deal with Insua collapse.
