Liverpool teenager Curtis Jones says Jurgen Klopp's commitment to youth made him commit his future to the club.
Jones came off the bench to score the winning penalty in a shootout win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup fourth-round on Thursday.
He said: "I've developed a lot as a person and character but definitely on the pitch, too. When I first went to Melwood I was a young lad. I still am a young lad, but now I feel more like a man with the opportunities I've had to be around the first-team.
"This is the whole reason I didn't have any second thoughts about signing a new contract with the club. I know how the boss and the rest of the staff think about giving young players opportunities.
"They will give you game-time and myself, Rhian (Brewster) and Harvey (Elliott) are grateful for the opportunity that night (at MK Dons) and are looking forward to getting more.
"That is what we are working on now, things like getting around the lads in the changing room when things aren't going well, to helping the younger ones when they are coming through."
