Micah Richards insists he wants to stay with Manchester City.

The England defender has been linked with Liverpool, but says: "I would have been happy had the season carried on for another month as I was beginning to find some form.

"We all expected there to be a lot of new signings this summer, and the gaffer has already made one in Gareth Barry, which is a great signing for the team.

"To have players of his quality in the squad will give us a massive boost next season, and it looks like there'll be plenty more to come over the next few weeks.

"There'll be lots of speculation until the new campaign starts in August, and we are all looking forward to seeing who the new arrivals will be."
