Crewe Alexandra coach James Collins believes Ben Garratt is destined for big things.
The goalkeeper is being watched by Liverpool.
Collins told The Sentinel: "I think he's ready ... but I also think that playing league games is key and at Crewe he is churning out games.
"It is easy as a keeper to go somewhere and be a number two or number three and you never play a game, or you're playing under-21s which isn't quite the same.
"To play league football as a keeper at his age it almost doesn't mater what level it is as long as it's in the league because you're getting that experience."
