Lee Cattermole has a buyout clause in his Sunderland contract, it has been revealed.
The Black Cats captain has been linked with Liverpool this summer and is also interesting Everton.
The Journal says Cattermole remains vulnerable, especially with a release clause in his contract.
Liverpool watched him four times towards the end of last season.
