Liverpool have tabled a cash offer for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Corriere dello Sport says the European champions have bid €60m for the Senegal international.
While impressed by the offer, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has turned it down, confident that news of Liverpool's approach will flush out rival suitors.
De Laurentiis is prepared to sell Koulibaly and would settle on Liverpool's offer if others fail to match it.
For his part, Koulibaly is ready to leave Naples this summer and favours moving to England.
