Liverpool have made an offer for FC Utrecht striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel. Dutch sources say the Reds have tabled a £8.5 million offer for the Dutchman and are waiting on a response from Utrecht.
It's understood Utrecht will deliver Liverpool their answer by Monday.
Van Wolfswinkel is one of the deadliest strikers on the continent having hit 11 goals in just 17 starts for 10th-place Utrecht this season.
