Liverpool have been linked with a bid for Atletico Madrid attacker Saul Niguez.

Mundo Deportivo says Liverpool have submitted a £34million bid to sign Saul.

The Atletico Madrid midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, but now a transfer could become reality as he changes his own stance.

Saul now wants to quit Atletico and the main reason that he has not yet left is that there hasn't been a suitable offer for him.

It is expected that Atletico won't budge on their £43million valuation of the midfielder, so the Reds are going to have to stump up some extra cash to get the deal over the line.

Saul could well be seen as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who joined PSG after his Liverpool contract expired.
