Liverpool swimming in UEFA money (again) after defeat of Bayern Munich

Reaching the Champions League quarterfinals has swelled the coffers at Liverpool.

Liverpool were laughing all the way to the bank after their last-16 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Liverpool Echo says the Reds earned £9m for the win in Munich, with the possibility of more riches to come.

If they can get through the quarter-finals Liverpool will receive £10.32m, then another £12.9m for reaching the final and an added £3.44m if they win it.

Last season's run to the final in Kiev, where they lost to Real Madrid, reportedly earned the Reds over £70m in total.
