Liverpool striker Salah: I couldn't accept Mourinho snub at Chelsea

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has spoken of failing to win over Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho when they were together at Chelsea.

Salah is now regarded among the best players on the planet, but couldn't get a game at Chelsea under Mourinho.

He told France Football: "All I can say is that I had very, very little chances of playing. From January to June 2014, I played ten matches. After, nothing.

"I respected the coach's decision, it was his choice. But, as time went on, it became difficult for me to accept, because it was not healthy. I had to leave. I like football, it's my passion.

"So, I had to play football. I had a good relationship with him, but it was time for me to leave. I went to Fiorentina on loan and I was able to play again."
