Liverpool striker Sadio Mane admits he watches Manchester City hoping they lose.

Liverpool go into this weekend's matches at the top of the Premier League but title contenders Manchester City have a game in hand and are just two points behind.

Mane, speaking ahead of Liverpool's clash with Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday, told Sky Sports: "I get more nervous watching City than playing for Liverpool because obviously I am hoping they lose.

"The boss might say otherwise but I'm sure he is hoping they lose too."
