Liverpool striker Origi told he's not for sale - no matter what

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been told he's not for sale.

ESPN reports the Reds will not sanction the sale of the striker under any circumstances - even if it means running the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Champions League final hero Origi scored a string of crucial goals as he carved out a role as an impact substitute for Jurgen Klopp's side last season.

He has been in discussions with the Anfield club over fresh terms as a reward for his late heroics but still has only one year remaining on his current contract for the time being.

Even if he does not agree to a new deal, Liverpool will not let him leave under any circumstances as they aim to go one better in the Premier League next season.
