Liverpool striker Origi: Beating Genk ideal for Man City preparation

Liverpool striker Divock Origi was delighted with their Champions League defeat of Genk.

The result maintained confidence ahead of the weekend Premier League visit of Manchester City.

"Definitely," said Origi. "It is good to keep on going, keep the flow going and I think this weekend is going to be a big, big game. We have already played a couple of times against each other so we are all looking forward to it.

"We know we still have some important games but it was crucial for us to win and everyone knew it so we are very happy we did it.

"Genk fought well. Tactically as well, they adapted well so they fought hard, they were brave and we just had to be brave as well and play and I think with the experience we have helped us as well."
