Liverpool striker Sadio Mane expects Jurgen Klopp to eventually have a statue erected of himself at Anfield.

After a slow start to his tenure, the German guided the club to a stunning Champions League triumph last season and is this year on the brink of ending their 30-year wait for an English league title.

Speaking to the BBC, Mane said: "For sure I think there will be one because he is a great manager and he is doing very well for the club and the players.

"He has his specific way of doing things and he gives his players more responsibility on the pitch which is really important.

"At the same time, he is very friendly with his players so that is one of his big strengths."
