Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk says he doesn't fear coming up against Edin Dzeko and Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The Dutch international played a key role in helping Jurgen Klopp's side overcome Manchester City in the quarter-finals and he will once again be relied upon to help advance to the final in Kiev.

Dzeko was on the scoresheet in Roma's dramatic quarter-final win over Barcelona. But Van Dijk is adamant he won't have any fear when the Giallorossi travel to Anfield on Tuesday night.

"I have not played against Dzeko before but everyone knows the result against Barcelona," he said.

"I couldn't believe it when I heard about it. We were celebrating on the pitch at the time but great stuff for them.

"They are a very good team. We know they have a lot of quality but I don't fear anyone. We will know more about them on Monday when we will have a good meeting.

"I know they are a top team and we have to be ready. We play a different style to Roma."
