Liverpool star Virgil Van Dijk suggests their draw against Everton was a step towards achieving their goals.
The Reds battled for a point away from home in the first game of their Premier League restart.
It puts them 23 points clear of City, and they should wrap up the title in the coming games.
Van Dijk told Sky Sports: "We're a step closer. Obviously we wanted to win, we wanted to get the three points today, but we're another step closer.
"We'll try to improve every time and we'll see how that will develop over the next couple of weeks."
