Sadio Mane is delighted at his nomination for the BBC's African Footballer of the Year.

He is up for the 2018 award, alongside stars such as Mehdi Benatia, Kalidou Koulibaly, Thomas Partey and his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

While his teammate Salah is the favorite to win the award, the 26-year-old winger is happy to be among the nominees.

"This is my fourth time to be nominated for the BBC African Footballer of the Year," he said to BBC Sport.

"It's something that will give me more motivation to keep working harder and harder, and hopefully I will win it one day."
