Roberto Firmino is aspiring to belong with the upper echelon of footballers.

The Liverpool forward is enjoying his best season for the club, having bagged 20 across all competitions.

He is third to Cristian Ronaldo and Harry Kane on the Champions League goal scorer's list with six goals. And when asked prior to the Reds last-16 clash with Porto if he believed he was on par with the Real Madrid superstar, Firmino provided a humble response.

"I only focus on playing a good game," said Firmino.

"If you play a good game, the goals will appear. I'm trying to give my maximum, not only for me but for the team, and I'm trying to be alongside those great players."
