Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold acknowledged the significance of beating Leeds United in the title race.
The Reds take on the Whites in their game in hand on Wednesday, as they look to cut the gap to Manchester City to three points.
Alexander-Arnold knows that if his side were to drop points against Leeds, City would once again be in the box seat to win the league.
"Of course," the right-back told the club's website.
"Our game in hand obviously is one that we need to win, it will put us in a really good position in the league. So we're focused on that, focused on making sure we get three points.
"We've said for a while now that we always have belief in ourselves to win games. We'll see it as any other game; it is important with the results that went on but it's still one we need to win."
