Liverpool, Spurs encouraged as Mainz chief opens door to Anton Stach sale

Mainz midfielder Anton Stach is attracting Premier League interest.

Sky Deutschland says Stach has caught the eye of Liverpool, as well as fellow Premier League clubs Tottenham and Newcastle.

And Stach could be open to a change of scenery next season.

Indeed, according to Mainz's sporting director, the 6ft 4" midfielder is not 'unsellable'.

Christian Heidel has insisted that no club has entered into talks yet, but said: “We haven't gotten anything from the whole circus yet. No one has reported (their interest) yet, so the topic is not currently on the table.

“For Mainz 05 no player is unsellable. In such cases, you have to weigh the economic factors against the sporting. It also depends on what the player wants. And then you make a decision."
