Liverpool slash their price to smooth Inter Milan move for Sturridge

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is pushing to join Inter Milan in the coming days.

The Mirror says Liverpool slashed their asking price for Sturridge before allowing him to leave for Inter Milan.

The Reds were seeking a £5million loan fee for the England striker — in addition to the full payment of his £150,000-a-week wage.

But despite circulating his name widely, the Merseysiders were finding it difficult for anyone to take the bait.

In the end, demands for the loan fee were dropped to £1.5m — and Sturridge is now set to join Serie A giants Inter.
